Mission Training

This module consists of a 12-part video series (total of 13 session hours).  Click on the sessions you would like to complete:

• Sessions #1-2: Culture & Anthropology (parts 1-2)
• Sessions #3-5: Culture & Anthropology (parts 3-5)
• Sessions #6-8: Culture & Anthropology (parts 6-8)
• Sessions #9-10: Culture & Anthropology (parts 9-10)
• Sessions #11-12: Culture & Anthropology (parts 11-12)

Cultural assignment: 

• Find someone from a different cultural background and ask questions about their background/culture to get their perspective as an insider of that culture. There are no specific sets of questions that you need to ask--you have the freedom to ask about anything from their culture that you want to hear to gain a better understanding of their culture. (It can be about family, children, how decisions are made in families, religious beliefs, politics, etc. -- anything to give a glimpse into their background and culture.)

Reading assignment: Please choose one of the following options as your reading assignment. Option #1 uses the textbook from the teaching sessions and is recommended if you want to get the most out of the teaching sessions. However, the textbook is not as easy to read, especially if English is not your first language. If you want alternative content that is easier to read, you may choose Option #2 instead.
