Jeremiah 29:11 - by Pastor Allan

Spring is a great season of the year, especially after a hard winter. The tougher the winter, the more welcome the spring. We are coming out of a season dominated by COVID issues. A winter season in too many ways.

We are entering a new season. It can feel like spring with the hope and new life that it brings. But just as quickly, it can turn back to the “same old.” Charles Dickens described it well. He wrote: Spring is the time of the year when it is summer in the sun and winter in the shade. It’s time to move forward. To live again. To plan again. Leo Tolstoy wrote: Spring is the time of plans and projects. So, we plan for the new season.

Jeremiah prophesied: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). As we move into this new season, let’s declare the word of the Lord. Let’s declare that the Lord plans to prosper and protect.

And as we set our plans for the next season, fill those plans with hope and describe the future that God has set before us!
